POSH Fashion: Wishful Walks in Allison Wonderland

Shimmy off those winter layers and step right into spring with Allison Wonderland’s 2012 collection.

“This season is all about those lovely walks in the park – picture flowing dresses, really feminine skirt lengths, colour blocking, and of course, floral prints,” says Allison Smith, the label’s designer. “It all reminds me of wishful afternoons, drinking lemonade in the botanical gardens and dipping my toes in the lily pond”.

The best example of this blooming inspiration has to be the vibrant Impressions Dress ($184). Available in dots and watercolour floral, you can take it from a picnic to dinner just by adding a little jacket. “It was important to me to make the collection very versatile,” says Allison. “The palette of coral, olive, slate blue and black highlights makes it very easy to wear pieces with each other, and in different ways”.

Our favourite is definitely the Romantics Dress ($192) – perfect with a pair of wedges and a long necklace. You can even make a knot at the side to change your whole look!
