Kelly Hoppen MBE is a world-renowned interior designer who has done many projects around the world for a variety of different spaces including houses, hotels, yachts, ski chalets, private jets as well as the interiors for British Airways first class cabins. Kelly has also been successful in a variety of business areas establishing herself as designer, retailer, author, educator and innovator. Hoppen was awarded with an MBE last year for her work in design. She was also awarded the European Women of Achievement Award for Entrepreneurship (EWAA) in 2007, joining an eminent list of women including athlete Paula Radcliffe and yachtswoman Ellen MacArthur.

Kelly Hoppen is acknowledged as one of Britain‟s most influential style gurus. The world renowned Hoppen style fuses the Eastern principles of simplicity with the Western taste for sumptuous textures and luxurious finishes. When designing for a specific space Kelly not only trusts her intuition and emotional intelligence; she is also rigorous in using a grid system to analyse space, delineate vistas, impose structure and establish order.
Surrounded by a fantastic team at her design studio in London, Kelly has created stunning interiors for a range of different spaces including yachts, private jets, ski chalets, a sports centre, houses and apartments. Her high profile clientele is spread throughout the world and is constantly expanding. Some of her most well-known projects are the British Airways first class cabins, the Royal Mougins Golf Club in the South of France, Rhodes W1 Restaurant in London and the luxury boutique hotel Murmuri located in the heart of Barcelona.
Receiving an MBE in 2009 for services to interior design marked the pinnacle of her 34-year design career to date. Kelly adds her MBE to numerous awards which include Andrew Martin International Designer of the Year Award, EWAA Woman of Achievement Award, GRAZIA Designer of the Year, plus awards from Elle Decoration and Homes & Garden, and many more.
Kelly Hoppen – Author
Kelly has published seven books: “East Meets West”, “Table Chic”, “In Touch”, “Close Up”, “Kelly Hoppen Style”, “Kelly Hoppen, Home – From Concept to Reality” and “Ideas”. Her books are top sellers on Amazon and have been published in over 10 languages, selling over 100,000 copies.
Her seventh, book, Kelly Hoppen: “Ideas” has just launched, which is an invaluable resource for anyone embarking on a home design project, whether a blank canvas or a fresh look.
In the world of design Kelly is an unstoppable force. She has her own high street home furnishing and accessories line called KHome. She also has a range of chinaware, paints, furniture, carpet, fabrics, art, candles, fragrances and bathroom accessories and has collaborated with Graham and Brown to create her own beautiful range of wallpaper. In 2010 Kelly collaborated with Halo licensing and launched a vintage inspired furniture collection which has been hugely successful and has distributors worldwide.
Kelly’s intrinsic eye for style is not limited to the world of interior design. In 2010 she made her debut fashion venture and launched the Kelly Hoppen Home Fashion Collection for Earth Couture; a range of stylish but casual everyday items using organic cotton, with a percentage of sales going to fighting malaria and AIDS in Africa.
Kelly’s current retail space ‘The Yard’ on Chepstow Road in West London has brought together her design studio and her design school, the Kelly Hoppen Design School, which she set up in 2009. The design school sits above the studio and accommodates fifteen students on a monthly basis who are able to learn about styling, sourcing, budgeting and client management directly from Kelly.
In addition to connecting directly with the public through Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, Hoppen has two websites, www.kellyhoppenretail.com and www.kellyhoppeninteractive.com, which features a blog written by the designer herself. “Home Style by Kelly Hoppen‟ is her newly launched iPhone and iPad app by Hoppen which has step-by-step design guides and over 40 stunning video tutorials to create sophisticated bedrooms, chic yet functional kitchen features, elegant table settings and beautifully balanced shelving displays, all in easy-to-follow steps direct from the designer.
